FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: What is 4D ultrasound and how does it differ from a 2D ultrasound.

A: 2 dimensional ultrasound provides amazing insight into the human body. Finding your baby on a 2 dimensional image, however, is often difficult. You have to really concentrate to figure out exactly what you are looking at and where the arms and legs are positioned. 4 dimensional ultrasound offers not only the opportunity to see the baby clearly but also allows the incredible opportunity to see moving images of your unborn child.

Q: What is the optimum time in my pregnany to come in and view my baby?

A: There is no guaranteed perfect time to see your baby, but we would recoment you come in for viewing at 26 weeks or more of pregnancy. Before the 24th week of pregnancy your are able to see more of your baby at one time, but the features are not as filled out. You will start to see facial detail after about 26 weeks.

Q: Do I need a referral from my doctor?

A: YES. You must bring a written consent from your physician or nurse practitioner.

Q: How does this differ from the ultrasound I recieve at my doctor's office?

A: Sneak-A-Peek Ultrasound only performs a limited diagonistic ultrasound. This is an extra service we are providing so you can have more of a bonding experience with your baby.

Q: Is this covered by my insurance?

A: No, this is an out of pocet expense, we accept cash and checks only.
